A Guilty Pleasure

So there are a few things in life that I indulge in. The occasional Sonic Diet Coke (LOOOVE Happy Hour), Peanut Butter M and M's, uhmmm Smallville (Did I really just admit that?) and the spa pedicure. I can't believe I didn't know about these ever since I had to clip my own toenails. I love them! Here's my new do.

A Birds-Eye View

I'm always up for a field trip, especially when there's free admission. My sister had the day off, so we went to the aviary and saw tons of birds. The kids had a great time.


Trenna sacrificed her son's slices of bread so the kids could feed the ducks. Sorry you had to go hungry DJ!

I love that Faith takes such good care of her siblings. It makes it a little easier to take my large group of offspring places.

Firework Fun

Thanks to our neighbors who shared these awesome lighty twirly sticks. We love fireworks!

The End of Harry

So we're kind of mourning at our house. I mean we're glad it's here. We laughed. We cried. We read and read and read. It's just hard to say good-bye to a friend. We loved it. We're glad he lives. (Sorry to spoil it if you haven't read it.) HE LIVES!

Parade-ise

What can be better than a sack full of candy? A few otter pops thrown your way on a hot summer day. Nothing. (except maybe staying home to read HP7)
Joy just HAD to put her water bottle in her cup holder.Joy found a discarded sucker way under someone else's chair. She threw a fit when I took it away but got her revenge when she was too quick and scored a dropped doughnut.

Independence Day

Joy has decided that she does not want to hold your hand while walking somewhere. She realizes that you might try to guide her in the right direction or keep her from danger. So she tucks her hands in behind her and goes wherever she pleases.

when I try to clean. I was cleaning the other end of the house while Joy was doing this. Notice the toaster buttons down. She was putting cereal in the toaster. Can you say fire hazard?

80 years and counting!

My Grandpa had his 80th birthday party which prompted 70 people to come into town to celebrate.







I made him a wheat free cake. I sauteed carrots and butter and maple syrup to make the decoration.







The siblings gave him a collage picture of his life.










Joy snuck into the cake! I had to get pictures before I stopped her.
