Pajama Party

I finally dug to the bottom of the laundry pile. By dug, I mean it's all folded and put away. I know it won't last. I found these pajama pants that Aunt Laurie made for all the kids at the reunion. (Yes, That's how long it's been since I've seen the bottom of my laundry pile.)

First Day of School

Well they're off!
At least there's still two home with me.
I actually shed a tear or two on the way home from dropping them off. I didn't think I would.
Just wait until next week when the boy starts preschool.

Movie Madness

If you don't know what today is, you must not have a pre-teen, 'tween, or any female living in your house. Yes the premiere...
We had a little party. Notice Joy's handful of skittles. I warned the girls to protect their candy.

Apparantly...

Joy has an opinion. I was trying to buy her some new sa-hoos (as she calls them) and she threw this humongous fit. She wouldn't let me get them near her feet. She pointed out these and she wouldn't take them off. She kept pointing at them and saying "sahoos, sahoos."

So I'm one of those moms. I have a million kids. We go into Payless for the BOGO and one of my kids is dressed like this...

but it was a successful shopping trip as we walked out of there with 6 pairs of sahoos.

Picture Perfect

I thought I'd share these pictures from a recent photo shoot. Aren't they gorgeous?

The Dilemma

So I've been debating whether I should take some time and do something I love. I have been asked to join a women's singing group. I would love to. My pre-baby days were filled with singing and performing. I really want to. I mean I REALLY want to. It's time to be all about me right? Well it's not really. The weekly practices are during school, which leaves two children who need a babysitter. I could beg, borrow, and trade babysitting. I could dump them on people. I know there are a few willing souls. I just can't do it. I know I need to focus on my family. I know I'm going to have to use said willing souls for school field trips, volunteering, appointments, etc. I know it's not about me anymore, darnit.

Lions and Tigers and Bears... Oh My!

I just love lions. They are so regal and strong. I love that they live in prides and that the males stay home with the babies while the women go and kill the food. (Did you know the females are only pregnant for 3 1/2 months?) I loved the Lion King musical and the cartoon. Is there a better cartoon song than Can you feel the love tonight? Yes I'm a cheeseball! We went to the zoo with our cousins and the lions were out and they were pacing. Usually they are lying in the shade snoozing. So I was thrilled.

The tigers were out. The rare snow leopards that no one ever sees were out. Hooray for the Idaho Falls Zoo. Here's the gang!

Joy was trying to climb into the turtle cage.

Joy fed the goats and petted them and wasn't even scared.
